主要研究方向及成果：主要从事纤毛虫原生动物的生殖生物学、生理学等研究，先后在纤毛虫模式动物大小核基因重排与机制、有性生殖期间的性别决定、海洋类群模式体系建立、系统演化、遗传信息库构建等方面取得了多项创新成果。迄今在Nucleic Acids Research、Trends in Genetics、Cell Reports、SCIENCE CHINA Life Sciences、mBio等国际主流刊物发表论文40余篇。先后主持国家“优青”项目、面上项目、青年项目、国际（地区）合作与交流项目、山东省“杰青”项目、山东省“泰山学者”青年专家计划等十余项科研项目。成果获教育部自然科学成果二等奖（2019）、青岛市自然科学成果一等奖（2022），入选中国科协“青年人才托举工程”扶持人才（2017），获得中国动物学会青年科技奖（2022）、中国原生动物学会青年科技奖（2017）、山东省优秀研究生指导教师（2021）等称号。

Research Interests:
1) Genome evolution of ciliates: to explore patterns of chromosomal rearrangements and to characterize the mechanisms of genome rearrangements during sexual reproduction among diverse ciliate lineages;
2) Mating type determination of ciliates: to understand the evolution of number of mating types, mode of mating type inheritance, and the molecular determinants of mating types across the taxonomic diversity of ciliates, focusing on the genera Paramecium and Euplotes;
3) Molecular phylogeny and taxonomy of ciliates: using the molecular biological methods to investigate systematics, phylogenetic relationships and evolutionary positions of ciliates.
